  • Where are Nomad Beds shipped from?
Nomad Beds are shipped from facilities across the USA.
  • Does it sleep hot?
People often avoid foam mattresses because they have a reputation for causing you to wake up in the night sweating even in the dead of winter.

But why exactly do these kind of beds usually get so hot? The truth is, memory foam is an incredibly dense material that isn’t super breathable. When you sink into the foam, not only does the material not breathe, it tightly conforms to your body, so your body heat cannot escape! The foam traps the heat which doesn’t provide a very pleasant sleep experience.

With this in mind, we knew that we had to do everything we could to make the Nomad to sleep cool. Instead of laying the memory foam on top, we placed it under a layer of latex foam. This latex is inherently more breathable than memory foam, because it has more bounce and doesn’t conform to your body. Air can circulate freely and keep you cool through the night. To account for any heat caused by the memory foam underneath, we also added divots the latex to keep things nice and breezy.
  • Does the foam smell?
There’s a mild scent upon unboxing. Any scent should dissipate in a few hours in a well-ventilated room.
  • Do I need a box-spring or platform?
The Nomad mattress has been tested on a slatted bed frame and a box spring. It is designed to work on any firm, flat surface.
